A Lovely place to stay

This was our first time for all inclusive holiday and we are glad that we chose Olive Garden, because of a quiet location, very friendly stuff and a great team to work with the children in daily fun club. The grounds of the hotel are surrounded by olive fields and it will take you about 7 minutes to walk to the nearest beach. The trip from/to the airport is a bit long, but it is very close to a beautiful town of Lindos with it’s old market town and ancient temple. We enjoyed our stay and can recommended to families with children.

Friendly and fun

Our Second visit to Olive Garden and we were not disappointed. All of the good reviews say it all, Hotel, Facilities Food, and most of all Esther and her team give you 110%. (My only grumble is the Animation /Entertainment which I will tell below ) If your looking for a laid back escape from the hustle and bustle, chose the Olive Garden. The few people that give this hotel a bad review, I am convinced would find fault with any hotel they visit. I am confused with the review I have just read, we were there at the same time, but it doesn’t sound like we were at the same hotel after reading it. First of all, The Smell, Yes there was a bit of a whiff at times the first few days we where there, which was a big concern of the Olive Garden and they did everything they could to find the source and they found it was coming from another hotel. Once identified it was sorted quickly and the smell disappeared. The Rooms, we were in the main building were the restaurant was and it was lovely and clean and very spacious. The Pool we saw the pool cleaned everyday and none of our swimwear has been stained. We spent lots of time in the pool with the weather being 40+ some days. The food, we had no complaints whatsoever and I never noticed any recycled food. There was always something for everyone. The staff also kept the restaurant very clean Snacks at pool weren’t to our taste, mainly as I didn’t not want a sandwich mid morning , loved the ice cream in the afternoon, especially Ranias wonderful milk shakes. The beach was a five minute walk were you will find a nice well stocked shop, were you could get most things. There are two restaurants/bars were you can get a drink. Take some shoes to go in sea as it is pebbly but once you have walked out a couple of feet it’s fine. Entertainment The was ok, the girls did various shows Abba, 70’s etc, Jo did Karaoke one night and the another where she did requests, she has OK voice as well. my fave was Greek Night which was good fun. The only complaint we had was during the day, some days they did aerobics or volleyball or a quiz, but others they did nothing. Think this could be improved and I am sure it will this year. Great being able to get free shuttle into Lardos and Pefkos where there are some lovely places to eat, especially Roulas in Lardos. We will be back again in September, also quite a few of the lovely people we meet are going back and it can’t come soon enough. Finally, I have got to mention the heartbeat of the hotel, Esther, who is one of the nicest ladies you could wish to meet, nothing is too much trouble and She is helped by a fantastic team.
